Technical Knowledge
You may be interested in knowing that generally there are two kinds of inflatables, one is air-tight style and the other is stitching style.
Air-tight Style
We can use air-tight inflatable products independently without relying on the air pump, such as water parks, inflatable paddle boards, yoga mats, inflatable kayaks, paintball props, and so on.
Air-tight inflatable products are made by welding machines, and the materials used are thicker to ensure long-term use and high waterproof sealing performance. However, because they are thicker and heavier, their material and production costs are higher, making it difficult to create complicated shapes.
Notice: Air-tight inflatables will expand in hot weather and contract when the weather cools down, so you need to keep an eye on the inside pressure. We have pressure sensors to help you with that too.
Stitching Style
Stitching-style inflatables require fans to blow continuously to keep them inflated, such as bouncy castles, slides, inflatable parks, obstacles, and so on. Its material is relatively lightweight and easier to achieve complicated shapes.
Some of our clients think that the thicker the material the better and demand to use air-tight inflatable material for stitching, actually it is not a good choice. Air-tight inflatable material has a thicker pvc coating for better hot welding performance, while stitching needles require the just right thickness of material.
